The 20th International Conference on the Physical Properties and Application of Advanced Materials (ICPMAT2026)
23-25 July 2026, Hanoi University of Science and Technology,No.1, Dai Co Viet street, Hai Ba Trung, Hanoi, Vietnam
The International Conference on the Physical Properties and Application of Advanced Materials (ICPMAT) is an annual conference was founded by University of Toyama (Japan) and Japan Institute of Metals and organized by a selected host country within its international collaboration network. These include Kyungpook National University (Republic of Korea), Shandong University (China), Chiang Mai University (Thailand), and Hanoi University of Science and Technology (Vietnam). The conference further brings together contributions from a broad spectrum of universities and research institutes in Europe, including the Technical University of Košice (Slovakia), AGH University of Science and Technology (Poland), and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology... The conference will focus on fundamental and applied research and current developments within physics and materials science, including raw materials, structural materials, functional materials, advanced characterization techniques and computational materials science.
ICPMAT 2026 serves not only as a high-level academic forum, but also as a global networking platform that brings together scientists, academics, and materials experts from around the world. Through plenary and invited lectures, specialized technical sessions, and in-depth discussions on research and technological applications, the conference aims to identify strategic directions and propose innovative solutions for the sustainable development of materials science, thereby contributing to shaping the future trajectory of discipline at both regional and international levels.
In parallel with ICPMAT, the International Conference on Advanced Materials and Technologies (ICAMT) is a biennial scientific event initiated by the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, in 2024. ICAMT builds upon the successful legacy of a series of well-established international conferences, including ICAMN 2012, ICAMN 2014, ICAMN 2016, ACCS 2017, NSCTEX 2022, and ICAMN 2022, which were organized by the School of Materials Science and Engineering. Over successive editions, ICAMT has attracted strong participation from the international scientific community. Notably, ICAMT 2024 brought together more than 200 researchers and scholars, including distinguished experts from Japan, the Republic of Korea, Italy, Sweden, China, Germany, and other countries.
With the objective of expanding international impact and further enhancing the scale and academic excellence of both conferences, in 2026 the School of Materials Science and Engineering plans to jointly organize ICPMAT & ICAMT as a large-scale international scientific event. This joint conference is expected to serve as a major platform for consolidating and strengthening national and international research networks in the fields of materials science and advanced technologies.
The Conference will be held in Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Hanoi, Vietnam from July 23–25th, 2026. The ICPMAT&ICAMT 2026 is expecting scientists, researchers and other participants from Asia and around the world as a good opportunity to strengthen the relation and cooperation.
